Heating systems
We have 2 types of heating system depending on your Ecosmart model. Check below for your heating type and how to operate.
Type 1: Downflow
Wall mounted fan heater. Pull cord to activate.
NOTE: This heat needs the generator ON to run. Some models my auto-start the generator. Other require manual generator activation.
Drying room heating
Use the controls next to the heater to activate.
NOTE: This heat needs the generator ON to run. Some models my auto-start the generator. Other require manual generator activation.
Type 2: 'Air' Diesel heating
Canteen / Office & Drying Room
Use the controls to activate the heating system. Heat comes from the vents under the seats. This system is independent from the generator and runs from batteries and the diesel tank.
NOTE: All heating on the Ecosmart SolarMAX is powered from battery power. The generator will only start if the batteries need to be charged.
Heating Fault Codes
After 5 seconds of fast flashing, the error code will be shown by a sequence of long flash pulses, the number of flashes is shown in the table below.
NOTE: Please contact your hire partner to fix fault codes. Do not attempt to access the systems areas.
Daily Checks
It is important that the user of this unit carries out some basic checks to ensure the unit runs and operates safely.
